Re: Nouvelles Suzuki Swift S1600

And even if you need, Suzuki it's the only official manufacter and have a big Swift cup in there! Anyways, I still prefer the body of the Suzuki Swift Maxi that runs in Denmark

Re: Nouvelles Suzuki Swift S1600
I don't know about the r2? In Spain? I think the Swift Cup is homologated in N2. At least, when they come to Portugal they run in that class! You have a Corsa OPC and a Mini Cooper (ex-track trophy) runing in R3, but I think not a Suzuki!

But neither the Corsa OPC nor the Mini Cooper compete under R3. The Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition is a demonstration of a Opel dealership from Ferrol (Galicia), the Corsa is strictly stock (as it runs out of dealership), only with roll bars, security equipment and racing wheels. Only in the last rallyes it have gotten some light improvements in suspension. The car run in the same category of the Swift of the trophy, but with less preparation. What they want to prove is that a rally car can be cheap to buy and mantain. The Mini Cooper Rally N2 is, as Bino said, an old Mini Challenge from circuits, adapted to rally (2 nd seat, changes in suspension, gearbox, etc...). The car was converted by RMC (Roberto Mendez Competicion), and compete under Nacional 2 regulations (not group N), because the car is not homologated by FIA for rallyes, only here in Spain.

Re: Nouvelles Suzuki Swift S1600
So, our Corsa OPC is more developed than yours! I guessed that they had the same performance! Our runs in VSH (Cars that don't have FIA homologation, or homologation expired) but performance wise, the car is close to a R3T (it was faster than the 500 and 207 last year).
Explain something to me, you said that Corsa and Mini run in N2. But N as production like the Swift that has a FIA homologation, or in N for National! Because it's quite strange that a Turbo car can run in N2 (1300 to 1600cc atmospheric)
Cheers

Re: Nouvelles Suzuki Swift S1600
Bonjour.

Cheers The Corsa competes in N2, under FIA group N2 (production) Regulations. It's weird, because with turbo, the corrected capacity puts it in N4 class. I don't know why runs in that category. The Mini Challenge runs in Nacional group, Nacional 2 class, not production.
