Current week ASAF rally-Pribram R-Bad conditions-no traction
Please tell me if this is the correct location for this post: On the final stage of this weeks ASAF rally (Pribram R-Bad conditions-Night) it is impossible to get forward or backward momentum from a standing start on the gravel section. During my rally my car stalled on the gravel section (there was no damage to it whatseoever). It was necessary for me to come to a full stop to put the car in neutral, I restarted successfully, but the car could not move either forward or rearward due to absolutely no traction. Sadly I was forced to retire-with no car damage whatsoever having driven a perfectly clean rally. This was my stable and career rally for the week. I was using wet tarmacs for this loop-the most sensible choice based on conditions. It could be argued gravels could have been chosen-but the for certain the stages are nearly undrivable on gravels. I if this stage is used in the context of a tarmac rally the tarmac mod should be chosen with bad conditions. There is absoutley no reason for anyone to rtire from a rally for such a reason...

Re: Current week ASAF rally-Pribram R-Bad conditions-no traction
try with airpressure 150 150 or 160 160 ? maybee it helps? It hels me , on some stages. sometimes i drive, 100 100 When i drive with less Pressure, i let the car more roll , in the corner without throtle. and on the strait pumping , on the throthle, and brake a litle if it spinn to much, but still on the throthle . for this all , you need to reduce, the Rearbrake

Okay turbo. I will try this as you suggest and see how it works.
Thank you,

Re: Current week ASAF rally-Pribram R-Bad conditions-no traction
Lowering the tire pressure can help to gain more traction, that is true but on Pribram stages gravel section there isn't enough traction for the Escort to get going again from standing start. Only if there is a slight slope the car can get slightly moving and slowly gain momentum but most of the time the car would just dig itself in. And choosing wet gravel tires doesn't seem to make a difference in these conditions.

Re: Current week ASAF rally-Pribram R-Bad conditions-no traction
Fifou, I have tried turbo's suggestion-it does not make a difference. The car can get no traction and cannot move.
I think my stalling the car is an isolated incident. However, consideration must be given in the case of "call for help" in gravel areas. Drivers who would have to do so would face the same issue.
I would like to make this request of the admin team:
1) I would like to be given a superally time-or some nominal time for the stage enabling me to finish the rally and not get a dnf, and enable me to score stable, career and rallyesim points for the rally.
2) Doing so would acknowledge that a beter choice of stage conditions could have been made byt he rally coordinator such as "Pribram R-tarmac mod-night-bad conditions'
While I have tested this condition (no traction on Pribram R for this stage) I think it is reasonable to expect it to also be true for other cars (Porsche 911, other H and VHC class cars) that atempted the rally.
This is a moot point, but be allowing me to finish the rally you take away nothing from any of the other finishers except an overall placing which earns no points in this championship. And I was the only runner in my class-so no harm is done in that regard.
I greatly appreciate your consideration.
Tannat

Throw out the stage reults altogether...
I just can't help feeling my claim is legitimate...

All that is legitimate for a person or persons, is not necessarily for others. And it's not because it is legitimate, we need to do the work manually.
If this car raises concerns, there are others

Re: Current week ASAF rally-Pribram R-Bad conditions-no traction
I think the car is fine. I think the problem is the stage.
It is okay, fifou. I am done.
I think if I were to go through all the cars available to run this stage the problem could be replicated in others.
But I appreciate your point on the legitimacy. I will not make the other drivesr suffer because of my isolated case.
But it should be appreciated that, although it did not happen to others, certainly it could have happened to others.
