Re: TUTORIAL [en] Install a new car on RBR
Install a car under RBR/RSRBR
1 - Is the root of the RBR game, rename the file "Physics.rbz" in "Physics.zip"
2 - Decompress the file "Physics.rbz" at the root of the game (..\...\Richard Burns Rally\ )
»»»You will get a folder named "Physics".
3 - Download the car you want to test Physics files
4 - Installation of the car (see the attached with each car .txt file)
After uncompressing the ZIP or RAR file you get this(Ex : Escort Cosworth GrN)
Citation:
ATTENTION, all the files in ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN as "Program" are not necessarily present and there may be others.
The only one that should be is "textures"

Z.dll
a - Copy the folder with the name of the car ( ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN) in the folder "X:\....\Richard Burns Rally\Cars"
b - Copy it to the CONTENT of the "Physics" folder in the folder "X:\...\Richard Burns Rally\Physics"
5 - Find the folder or you decompress the ZIP or RAR file with the extension ".""TXT" here "ReadMe_v10.txt"
6 - Open it with the block Notes Windows (C:\Windows\NotePad.exe)
7 - Search in text
Citation:
[Car05]
FileName = "Cars\impreza03\impreza03.sgc"
IniFile = "Cars\impreza03\impreza03.ini"
ShaderFile = "Cars\impreza03\impreza03_shaders.ini"
ShaderSettings = "Cars\impreza03\impreza03_shader_settings"
TexturePath = "Cars\impreza03\Textures\"
Change that to this:
[Car05]
FileName = "Cars\ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN\Escort_Cosworth_GrN.sgc"
IniFile = "Cars\ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN\Escort_Cosworth_GrN.ini"
ShaderFile = "Cars\ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN\Escort_Cosworth_GrN_shaders.ini"
ShaderSettings = "Cars\ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN\Escort_Cosworth_GrN_shader_settings"
TexturePath = "Cars\ESCORT_COSWORTH_GRN\Textures\"
8 - Replace the text after [CAR05] (in this example) by the indicated (can be different for another car).
Pour jouer :NE LANCEZ PAS RSRBRLancez "C:\Program Files\SCi Games\Richard Burns Rally\RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe"
To find out what car use
[CAR00] = c_xsara = Citroën Xsara
[CAR01] = h_accent = Hyundai Accent Super 1600
[CAR02] = mg_zr = MG ZR
[CAR03] = m_lancer = Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VII
[CAR04] = p_206 = Peugeot 206
[CAR05] = s_i2003 = Subaru Impreza 2003
[CAR06] = t_coroll = Toyota Corolla
[CAR07] = s_i2000 = Subaru Impreza 2000
If you have made the change in [CAR05] (the example above) you need to use
the Subaru Impreza 2003 to power play with the Escort Cosworth GrN
If by mistake you have started the game through the RSRBR interface (RSCenter2009) your folder "Physics" will have been renamed to "MyPhysics_jj_mm_aaaa_hh_mn_ss" ( jj, mm, aaa, hh, mn, ss (represents the date and time of renaming the folder) and you need to rename it again to "Physics".
Have Fun ...
PS : This tutorial is also valid for testing the physics on... Apply the points 1, 2, 3, and 4 (b) (not the 4 has since the car already exists) and that is all.REMINDER: DO NOT USE RSRBRRun "x:...\Richard Burns Rally\RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe"
In version noob :
To test the new cars and the physics it is not too hard.
For the 3d : Go to the folder cars :
-To make a "clicks right properties" of cars.ini and uncheck the read-only.
-Open cars.ini and find out the new links.
example :
[Car00]
FileName = "Cars\xsara\xsara.sgc"
IniFile = "Cars\xsara\xsara.ini"
ShaderFile = "Cars\xsara\xsara_shaders.ini"
ShaderSettings = "Cars\xsara\xsara_shader_settings"
TexturePath = "Cars\xsara\Textures\"
Replace by :
[Car00]
FileName = "Cars\HONDA_Civic_R3\Honda_Civic_R3.sgc"
IniFile = "Cars\HONDA_Civic_R3\Honda_Civic_R3.ini"
ShaderFile = "Cars\HONDA_Civic_R3\Honda_Civic_R3_shaders.ini"
ShaderSettings = "Cars\HONDA_Civic_R3\Honda_Civic_R3_shader_settings"
TexturePath = "Cars\HONDA_Civic_R3\Textures\"
For the physical :- Go to the directory Richard Burns Rally
- To extract here tophysics.rbz
-Copy the new physics in the folder c_xsara
The car is ready to be tested in RBR of origin
Launch RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe and choose the Xsara to test the new car.
