Hi everyone!

I can't wait to finally try RSRBR2011. I downloaded the 5 files of the main installation. I checked each file for MD5 and the checker confirmed the MD5 checksum is OK for each of the 5 files. However, after merging the file with 7-Zip, the MD5 check reports failure for the big 1.2 GB installer. I tried installing anyway and I get missing .RBZ texture files for some tracks.

What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance, pilau.

With what software you merge the 5 files ?

Perhaps you can try with another software :)

I merged it using the newest version of the original 7-Zip program. I also did it according to the instructions in the installation tutorial. And I also did it in a second way possible in the program. Not only this, but apart from verifying the MD5 checksum I verified each archive with the 7-Zip tool, and all results were OK.

Now, considering I have to update all BTB track packs to match updates 3 & 5, wouldn't it fix this problem? Because the only files missing, were track RBZ, INI and COL files. (tracks 21, 22, 23, 24, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 51, 61 & 62 - I wrote it down during the installation).

Thanks a lot!

No, updates don't have theses files and BTB packs don't have theses files to.

You can't download the installation file in one part ?

I see. Well, I can, but it takes AGES -  and I always fear the download gets cut off or something... I can still try, but only on Tuesday.

Hi Pilau,

Have you install the original game correctly? It's seam like the RSRBR don't see original game... (no original track installed).
Look at the tutorial and follow instruction.
If RSRBR don't found register key, follow this solution :
Edit Windows registry :
- Button Start -> Execute -> type REGEDIT and valid
- Open this key

-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWARE\Sci Games\Richard Burns Rally\InstallPath
or
-> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWARE\EIDOS\Richard Burns Rally\InstallPath

- Verify that the path in the right panel is exist and is OK.
If not, then double clic on key "Default" and enter the good path to the root of the game.
Then valid with OK
- Close REGEDIT.

I downloaded the full .exe file, made sure all registry values were correct and it worked!

Thanks very much :)
