Hi Guys,

For the first time today I installed RSRBR 2012. I opened up the RS Center where a message alerted me that I have to install the track packs. I then downloaded the packs and when the install started, about three quaters of the way through, an error message appeared which read: "An error occured while trying to read the source file: The source file "C/Richard Burns rally\maps\track-42_M_textures.rbz does not exist." There were three options which were ignore, retry or abort. The ignore and retry option did nothing.

I am really not sure what to do. During ther installation I saved the track pack to the RSRBR folder - the folder where Camhack, RichardBurnsRally_SSE, RScenter 2012, send replays etc is.

My operating system is Windows 7, which I think I ajusted correctly according to the tutorial.

Can somebody please help?

Starts by checking the md5 for each file download.
If corrupt, empty the internet cache before downloading
The MD5 sum calculation to check if a downloaded file is not corrupt.

Spears, and drag the icon of the downloaded file in the window that opened.
You compared the amount that appears with that lies below the download link.
They must be the same.

You put well everything updates??

After the download of the pack, did you check the sum MD5??

You obtain this error message because you try to install the pack in wrong folder.
All the installation programs of RSRBR (RSRBR, Tracks pack,Pack of car etc..) must be installed directly in the folder of the game NOT in a sub-folder
i.e -> for RBR installed in C:\RBR :
- installing the installation programs in C:\RBR is OK
- Installing the installation programs in C\RBR\Plugin_RSRBR\ is NOT OK

Before we go more ahead, download and launch this utility of repair. utilitaire de dépannage de RSRBR. (DepannageRSRBR2012.exe)
Once launched, click the lower left button "Analyse simple".
Once the ended analysis, selects nothing, copy nothing, return directly here to post a new answer.
In the text field, make a right click and chosen "Paste".

You can put a comment following the report of analysis.

I can't find any options where I can choose manual gears. Could you direct me where I can change to manual?

Close RSCenter then go in the game folder and launch RichardBurnsRally_SSE.exe
In RBR goto options and here you can find the setups for command, sounds etc..

Hi, thanks, I did that, but I'm still getting an automatic transmission. I can change the gears manually, but it is still also on automatic - semi automatic I think you call it.

The steering is very stiff aswell; it feels less smooth than in the actual game.
