Re: Problems after installing RSRBR 2015 - UPDATE 05
Dernier message de la page précédente :If your "system disk" is "C:\", the fact that the RBR game to be installed "E:" whatever the name of the folder does not pose a problem, and you should not reinstall,
but you have many other problems below which need that reinstall .....
.
The fact to not install the game in the folders mentioned in the tutorial avoids problems of permissions and restrictions created by the Windows system (and that do not exist in Windows XP).
Although here, the fact that you called the folder "\Program Files\...\" may leave a doubt about its symbiosis with its reliance on Windows 8 system .
If it is you who have named "manually" the folder with such name, here should not lead to consequences .
But, If you accepted the name for this folder when it was suggested by Windows installer, I think the system will interpret this as "System Folder," and give it permissions
and restrictions as if it were on the system disk .
To overcome this doubt, select the "\SCi Games\Richard Burns Rally" and give him the security rights "everyone - all allow." (reboot required)
You say you install only "
Installed only a couple of car packs not the all car packs." But the utility detects that you have a problem with the "Car Pack R & GT10 & HCV & Group B & H Group"
which he lists all vehicles that have been poorly installed.
As well as also the Impreza N14 URT which is pack N4_2 ..... and still others .....(POLO WRC excluded, there are a corrective, I explain at the bottom of this message)
I look for a problem of polluted when downloading files, so a checksum erroneous .
I think it must reinstall the pack as you want, but that you first delete all of the content of "\cars" folder and and the key to the registry "Packs2015" : as shown below :
Ensure integrity of all new download, and first, empty the internet cache of your browser, enventuely, use a download manager
which have the capability to verify the integrity of all downloads, such as
Free Download Manager.
Regarding "versions of games vanilla", I can not answer, I know that the "official" version produced by Sci Games in 2004, and it is the only accepted with RSRBR .
To resume :
Set the folder of the game to security as say above, and reboot .
Reinstall in this order
- 1 - RSRBR 2015 mod
- 2 -
after cleaned the content of the folder \Cars, and the key to the registry : "Packs2015" as shown above : Your(s) Car(s) Pack
- 3 - All Tracks Pack
- 4 - Updates 1 to 5 (inclued the fix 4)
Don't forget to set the DEP as explain into
the installation tutorial before to play .
NB 1 : to fix the bug POLO_R_WRC ,
only if you have installed "Car pack A8W-13", do the following explained :
- Delete the folder : ..\..\Cars\POLO_R_WRC\
Options- Unzip this zip below in : ..\..\Cars\POLO_R_WRC[/quote]
POLO_R_WRC.zip [55.34 Mo]
NB 2 : you says "
and it gave me the sound error thing" What is the exact content of the message ?

If you want not (or can not) touch the registry, you must uninstall RSRBR and RBR by the standard way of windows uninstaller, that the registry is reset correctly .
