I'm having a problem with the countdown timer before starting a championship session.  My timezone is set correctly for where I"m at in the settings (-5 for Eastern Time in USA).  When I enter a session I do get the countdown from ~4min.  When the counter hits "0:00:00", it resets to 24:00:00.  I have noticed the "Display Server Time" doesn't function as it did in 2010...new functionality/feature?

I had the same problem on the Hungarian test rally.  Countdown was normal, but then changed to -23:59 once it reached zero.  Time was set to GMT-8 (US Pacific Time).

You can look in Windows for Internet Time.

Modify time in Widows and then go to the tab "internet time", choose a server and test it, valid your choice and close the window.
(I haven't an English versio of Windows so I can't give you the exact name of menu, tabs & co.)
Test this by launching a public session.

I also had this issue with championships. I had the RSCenter settings at -8 GMT and the Windows clock set to sync with internet time.

I can enter a public session without issue, but when trying to enter a championship the clock counts down and rolls over to -24 hours.

In RSRBR2010 the software always asked to set my windows clock to server time, however RSRBR2011 does not do this. I am going to try setting my Windows clock to server time and RSCenter to +1 GMT and see if this resolves it.

Don't forget we've got a winter time in France.
So now in France, I've got 10:00.
For Eastern US time you've got 04:00 (difference 6h) and for US Pacific time you've got 01:00 (difference 9h).

So maybe with one hour more in the RSCenter time settings, it will works ...

I tried and had the same problem again - countdown starts, but then reaches 0:00 and resets to -23:59:59. It appears to occur when the clock has gone past midnight in France and we still are on the previous day here in the US. I was able to get it to work properly by setting both my system time and RSCenter to GMT+1. We are on winter time (Standard Time) in the US too, so it should be OK.

So the difference between last year, is you don't have the windows which ask you to set your computer time ?

Yes, that is right.  Last year I would get a window that warned that my computer time did not match the server time, and I could not enter a rally unless it was synchronized. However, if the clock was after midnight French time, I still had to set my system time and RSCenter to GMT+1 to get it to work. If the time was before midnight in France, everything worked with my system time and RSCenter set to GMT-8.  I think the behaviour of RSCenter is the same - the difference is the lack of a notification window. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for working through this.    It is a problem we now know how to work around, but it would be nice to not have to change the system time.

That should do it. I was able to get around the problem the other night for the Hungarian Championship test by just setting my system time as though I were in France.  In a pinch it's always nice to figure out quick fixes.
